  2. Hi! I'm Dina. I too am in my second year of coursework toward competion of the MLIS. I plan to graduate in June 2012. Prior to my interest in academic librarianship, I was employed for ten years as an English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) teacher. I've taught primarily in community college and high school settings.

  4. Hi! I'm in my second year in the DU MLIS Program, the current president of LISSAA, and the coordinator of this mentorship program. I work as a graduate research assistant at Auraria Library and also as a shelver in DPL. In my previous career I taught high school English in DPL and also taught in Namibia as a Peace Corps Volunteer. I will be happy to act as a mentor for first year students who want advice about the program in general, joining student groups, finding the right mentor, or anything else of the sort. If you are simply new to Denver, I would also be happy to try and help you adjust to life here. I am open to meeting at DU or in the Downtown area or, if you are up to a little hike we could arrange that, too (though my dog, Professor Barnabas, is part of the deal when going for hikes).
